Google offering LG G Watch For $99, Plus $50 Play Store Credit – Details

Update: As a part of Black Friday offer, Google has slashed the price of the LG G Watch down from $249 to a $99. Both the black and the white-gold (plastic) versions are on sale. If you purchase any Android Wear watch from the Google Play Store between now and Cyber Monday, you will get $50 worth of Google Play credit to spend on whatever you want in the Play Store.

Google has priced the LG G Watch at £79 in UK, i.e. $130 off the list price in the US and £80 in the UK. Google also said that eleven other countries with access to Play Store devices will also be seeing discounts on the original G Watch. LG G Watch is water and dust resistant and is compatible with a wide range of devices running Android 4.3 OS (Jelly Bean) and above.

In the Google I/O 2014, the company has announced that the LG G Watch will be starting its sale in the US from today. This device was announced along with the Samsung Gear Live smart watch which will also run Android wear that will be costing you around $199 in the US. Currently, these devices can be pre-ordered on the Google Play store in US from 25th of June and will be shipped from July 2014. The pre orders of these smart watches are available only in 12 countries and later will be available in 27 other countries. It costs around $229 (Rs. 14,000) before taxes and shipping.
The LG G smart watch can be compatible not only with LG phones but also with any Android phone which Android v4.3 OS or later. The LG G smart watch is dust and water resistant which has got IP67 certification and which can resist up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes like most of the water resistant devices.

Coming to the specifications of this device, it has 1.65 inch IPS LCD touch screen with display resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. The dimensions of this device are 37.9 x 46.5 x 9.95 mm and it weighs around 63 grams. It is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Chipset and coupled together with 512 MB RAM. It has 4 GB of internal storage capacity that can be later transferred to a system. The LG G has connectivity option such as Bluetooth v4.0 so that it can be easily connected with your Android smart phone. This device is powered with 400 mAh battery that is expected to last the whole day.
This device also includes sensors such as Accelerometer, Heart Rate, Compass and Gyroscope. This device will notify all your notifications which you get on your receive on your Android device.
