Samsung Galaxy A5 Launch in China delayed : Details

Update: If latest reports are to be believed, Samsung has push back launch of the Galaxy A5 from November to December in China. Reportedly, there have been delays in manufacturing process in the production. So, Samsung won’t be able to launch the A5 on its initial launch date which was in November.

The report had also said that the casings did not meet the quality requirements Samsung was aiming for, and only around 50 percent of the yield came out right. Earlier this week, Samsung China had listed the Galaxy A5 at the price of CNY 2599.
Samsung had announced that the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will launch in China in November, but it did not specify when it will launch the smartphones in the other markets.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 appeared on the company’s Chinese website today. Galaxy A5’s China version supports dual SIM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The Galaxy A5 has a full metal unibody design. A5 features a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED and is available in 5 colour options including elves black, snow white, a magical gold, pink sweet dream, and Knight dazzling silver.

Samsung hasn’t released the official price of the phone yet. But if rumours are to be believed, the smartphone will cost more than $400. A5 is the part of Samsung’s brand new Galaxy A series, which also include A3 that has yet to make an appearance.

Rumors and leaks around Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7, were circulating around from the past few days. Today the South Korean Giant Samsung has made two of the devices official and announced the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 devices. These devices will feature a unibody – full metal design with classy design and are slim too. These are the replica of the Galaxy Alpha smartphone and will come with a thickness of 6.9mm and 6.7mm for Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 respectively.

Samsung is focusing mainly on social networking targeting the youth. There is a 5 MP camera on the front on both the devices that will encourage the youth to click more selfies. Apart from the front camera, these devices will sport an 8 MP and 13 MP rear-facing camera, and all the camera features with latest camera software.

Specifications

The Galaxy A5 will come with a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display as mentioned in the leaks earlier, and will be powered with a 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. There is a 13 MP camera autofocus camera on the rear and 16 GB of on-board memory with the support of a microSD card. To power the device there is a 2300 mAh battery that should be sufficient. The Galaxy A3 will have a smaller 4.5 inch qHD display and will have a 1 GB of RAM with 1900 mAh battery.
Both the devices will run on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system and also come with the features like Ultra Power Saving Mode. Samsung also included a new option of switching between four different themes.
There is no information about the pricing of the device for now, but the device will be available in November to buy. Samsung is also pushing many colour variants of these devices in order to attract the youth. Colour options like Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Pearl White, Soft Pink, Champagne Gold and Light Blue. We are not sure if these devices will be available globally in the initial stage and hope that they do hit your region.

Samsung seems to be busy in unveiling the newer range of smartphones and this time it will be in the A Series. With the branding of successful Galaxy series, Samsung is all set to announce 3 new smartphones in the A series dubbed as S3, A5 and A7 which will come in various screen sizes. These devices in A series will be sporting better specs than the recently launched Galaxy Alpha. So let’s check out briefly on what are the specs and features of this new smartphone range.

Specs and Features
Galaxy A7 Android smartphone will be coming with the 5.5 inches of screen size while A5 and A3 smartphones may come with the 5 and 4.5 inches of screen size. The screen resolution seems to be of HD with 1080 x 1920 with the density of 401 pixels per inch. A7 will also be coming with the 1.5GHz chipset with ARMv8-A architecture, meaning that we’re looking at a 64-bit processor which may be Snapdragon 410. Other list of connectivity features includes WIFI, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm headset audio jack, GPS and NFC.
With KitKat 4.4 Android OS, these smartphones will also be coming with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This smartphone will be placed in the mid-range segment and won’t be cheap. These devices may sport an 8MP of rear facing camera along with the front facing camera of around 5MP. There are some clear leads on the official Samsung’s website about the Galaxy A7 and below are the pictures of Galaxy A5 and A3 which too are in the same family as that of the A7 from Samsung. Though the complete specs and features are still yet to be confirmed by Samsung.
Pricing and Availability:
Pricing of A7 will be around $450 – $500 and will be soon announced and launched in select markets. These devices from Samsung is speculated to be coming before 2015.
