Acer introduces Liquid Jade and E700 smartphones in India [Update]

Acer on Monday announced the launch of two Android smartphones in the Indian market. Part of the company’s Liquid-series, the new Liquid Jade and Liquid E700 will be available exclusively at Snapdeal.com
The launch of the new phones is sort of a re-entry for Acer in the Indian smartphone market. The company had released its Liquid-series phones in the country in the past, but it has been remained out of market in the recent years. If I remember correctly, the last Acer Android phone to be released in India was Iconia Smart, which reached the country in October 2011.
Coming to the new phones, Acer Liquid E700 is a triple-SIM Android smartphone. It features a 5-inch HD display, 3500 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. The Acer Liquid E700 also sports AcerRAPID button the back of the phone, which gives quick access to camera and acts as a shutter button as well as acts a shortcut key for an app of user’s choosing.
Acer Liquid Jade features similar specifications to those present in E700 apart from the 2100 mAh battery and 13MP rear camera. You can check out the detailed specifications later in the report.
Pricing and Availability:
According to Acer, Liquid Jade will be sold for INR 16,999 and Liquid E700 for INR 11,999 in the country. As I earlier stated, the phone will be available exclusively at e-retailer Snapdeal.com and are expected to go on sale later today.
