XOLO introduces Omega 5.0, Omega 5.5 phones in India, pricing starts INR 8,999

Indian smartphone vendor XOLO has introduced two new smartphones in the country. Part of the company’s new Omega-series, XOLO Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 phones have been priced at INR 8,999 and INR 9,999 respectively.
Both smartphones sport XOLO’s Hive UI and run on Android 4.4. Among other features, the Omega smartphones include octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
Coming to specific phones, Omega 5.0 will come with a 5-inch 720p HD display, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, and 2100 mAh battery. On the other hand, Omega 5.5 will pack 5.5-inch HD display, 2600 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
According to XOLO, the Omega 5.0 will be available for purchase in major cities beginning December 10 and Omega 5.5 will go on sale on December 20, 2014.

XOLO has partnered with Vodafone to provide free data with Omega smartphones. The Omega 5.0 will get 500MB of free data for two months and Omega 5.5 buyers will get 1GB of free for two months. Both phones will also get unlimited music download from Vodafone Music for two months.
